Security you can explain to your accountant
We designed RateWire so it can't post to your chats, can't be copied to another computer, and keeps every shop's rates private.
Read-only WhatsApp access
RateWire never sends, deletes, forwards or marks messages as read. It only reads the chats you tick.
A key that never leaves your computer
When you sign in on the add-on, Chrome creates a secret key that cannot be exported. Every message is signed with it.
One computer per account
A copied add-on, or the same login on another computer, is refused with a clear warning.
Encryption everywhere
All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Data is encrypted at rest by our cloud provider.
Private boards
Each account only sees its own chats and rates, enforced in the database, not just the screen.
Strong sign-in
Leaked-password checks, email confirmation, and lockout after 5 wrong tries in 15 minutes.
Replay and tamper protection
Signed requests expire after 2 minutes and are checked against your computer's key.
Delete anytime
Delete your account from Settings and your data is removed.
RateWire has not been audited by an external certification body. We describe only protections that are actually in place.
