We collect only what we need to run RateWire and improve it. We never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, business name, type, city, state, logo, how you heard about us, and invite source.
- Chat content you choose: messages from the chats and channels you tick, and the rates read from them. Nothing from other chats is sent.
- Device details: a computer name, browser type, a public key, last-seen time and IP address for security.
- Usage: sign-ins, board opens, share clicks and security events, to understand how RateWire is used.
Why we use it
- To build your private rate board and keep it live.
- To protect your account (device lock, blocked attempts, rate limits).
- To understand our users in aggregate (for example, which business types use RateWire) and improve the product.
- To contact you about your account or trial.
Who can see it
Your board is private to your account. The RateWire administrator can see account and usage details to run the service. Messages are processed by our hosting and AI providers under strict confidentiality, only to read rates.
How long we keep it
While your account exists. Security logs are kept up to 12 months. When you delete your account, your profile, computers, chats, messages and rates are deleted.
Your rights
You can view and edit your details in Settings, delete your account at any time, or email us for a copy of your data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, access is restricted per account, and the add-on is locked to your computer with a key that cannot be exported.
